Alexandru Ionut Zarnoianu, Alex Art Online
Who we areAlex Art Online is run by Alexandru Ionut Zarnoianu, a photographer and sole trader in the UK, at 58 Harold Gibbons Court, Victoria Way, London SE7 7LY. Email: alex98.zrn@gmail.com. That's who is responsible for your data.
When you browse our websiteOur official website is always https://alexartonline.co.uk. If an address looks different, it isn't us. You don't sign up for anything. Like every website, our host (Cloudflare) sees your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks, and our fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees it too. Your browser also keeps a few small settings so the site works, like your reactions and whether you've already seen a message. They stay on your device, aren't used to track you, and you can clear them any time in your browser settings. Who handles your data
When you email usWe get what you send and use it to reply. We keep emails only as long as we need them for your message or a related order.
When you download a free photoYou give us your email, and we use it only to send you the download link. The link works for 7 days, and we delete your email automatically 30 days after that. A quick human check by Cloudflare (Turnstile) stops bots from abusing free downloads. No marketing, no mailing list.
When you buy something from us
- Stripe handles the payment. We never see or store your card details.
- Stripe sends us your name and email, plus what you bought, the amount and an order number.
- We use your name and email to create your Certificate of Authenticity, and send it to you with your photos through your own unique download link.
- The link works for 30 days. If you haven't downloaded yet, we'll email you a reminder with 15, 7 and 3 days left.
- We also use them to answer questions about your order, handle refunds, and keep the financial records the law requires. How long we keep it
Why we can use your dataTo deliver what you bought (our contract with you), to keep financial records (a legal requirement), and to keep the site secure and answer your messages (our legitimate interest). We never use your data for marketing, and we'll never use it for a new purpose without telling you first.
How long we keep itDownload links stop working after 30 days, so save your files and certificate as soon as you get them. Order records are kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year you bought in, because HMRC requires it, then deleted automatically. You can still ask to see or correct them any time. Your rights
Who handles your data for us
- Stripe: payments.
- Cloudflare: hosting this site, the order database, the download files, and the human check on free downloads.
- Resend: sending order emails.
- Google Fonts: the site's fonts.
Some of them process data outside the UK, mainly in the US. Where that happens, it's protected by UK-approved safeguards. Stripe's checkout page also uses its own cookies to prevent fraud, covered by Stripe's privacy policy. We don't share your data with anyone else.
SecurityOrder data and download files are stored in our Cloudflare account, encrypted with AES-256 (the industry standard) both when stored and when sent, and never kept on a personal device. No system is perfectly safe, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and the ICO as the law requires.
Your rightsYou can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how it's used, or get a copy to take elsewhere. Email alex98.zrn@gmail.com and we'll reply within one month. The one limit: we can't delete order records before the 6 years are up, because the law requires us to keep them. How long we keep it No decisions about you are made automatically. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Alex Art Online — terms of sale.
This section covers Alex Art Online's photography. Elisa Tailoring has its own terms. Elisa Tailoring
Who you're buying fromAlexandru Ionut Zarnoianu, trading as Alex Art Online. Who we are
What you get with every purchaseEverything sold here is a digital download. Every purchase includes:
- Full-resolution JPEG: the finished photo as shown on the site, converted from the RAW at full 8K resolution and without the watermark. Best for sharing, displaying or sending to a print lab.
- Print-ready PDF: the same photo, laid out for printing.
- RAW file: the unedited original straight from the camera, for complete editing control (it needs RAW-capable photo software to open).
- Certificate of Authenticity: made for your order, with your name, order number and date. It's your proof of purchase.
PayingPrices are in GBP, and the price you see at checkout is what you pay. Payment is handled securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once Stripe confirms your payment, and we then email your download link straight away.
You have 30 days to downloadYour own unique download link works for 30 days from purchase, for up to 20 downloads. Please download and save your photos and your Certificate of Authenticity straight away (to your computer, phone or cloud storage): the link is temporary, and the certificate is your proof of purchase. If you haven't downloaded yet, we'll remind you with 15, 7 and 3 days left. When the link expires, nothing is lost: your order stays on record, and if you haven't saved your files, just email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with your name and order number and we'll be more than happy to help.
Two editionsEvery piece is open edition unless it's marked limited.
The badge on each piece
In the rare case that two people pay for the same limited piece at the same moment, the second payment is refunded in full.
What you can do with itCopyright always stays with the artist, on every purchase. What you get depends on the edition:
- Open edition: personal use. Keep it, display it, print it for yourself, use it as a wallpaper. You can't resell it, share the files, or use it commercially.
- Limited edition: you own that piece. Keep, display or print it, or sell or gift it on, like an original painting: pass on the certificate and delete your own copies. Nobody, including us, can sell further copies of it.
The exact terms are printed on your Certificate of Authenticity. If a payment is refunded, the licence and certificate for it end. Refunds and cancelling
Commercial useWant to use a piece for a business, a product or marketing? That's not included in the licences above, but it's available: email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with what you have in mind and we'll quote a price. It depends on the use: a small business's own website costs far less than a national campaign, and exclusive rights cost more again.
Physical printsNot available yet. This page will be updated when they are.
Alex Art Online — returns & your right to cancel.
Every piece is described honestly, so you'll rarely need this section. When you do, here's exactly where you stand.
Digital downloads: no cancelling for a change of mindOnline orders normally come with 14 days to cancel. For digital downloads, UK law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) lets that right end once delivery starts, but only if you agree first. That's the tick box before you pay: you ask for your files straight away and accept that you can't cancel once your download link is sent. Your order email confirms this in writing, so you have a record.
If something's wrongIf a file is faulty, corrupted, or not the photo you paid for, you're protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, at any time. Email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with your order number and we'll send a working replacement, or refund you if we can't fix it.
How refunds workRefunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe, within 14 days of us agreeing. Your bank may take a few more days to show it. When a payment is refunded, the licence and Certificate of Authenticity for it end, so the image can't be used any more. What you can do with it
If you paid for a limited piece that someone else bought at the same moment, you're refunded in full. Two editions
Free piecesNo payment, so nothing to cancel or refund.
When physical prints launch (not yet)
For physical items, you'll have the usual 14 days to cancel after delivery, for any reason:
- Tell us within 14 days of delivery: an email to alex98.zrn@gmail.com is enough.
- Send it back within 14 days of telling us, in the condition you received it.
- Return postage is yours, unless it arrived faulty or not as described.
- We refund you in full within 14 days of getting it back.
Elisa Tailoring.
Coming soon, not open yet. Elisa Tailoring is a separate shop, so the Alex Art Online terms above (editions, certificates, digital downloads) don't apply here. Full terms, including who you're buying from, will be published before anything goes on sale.
What it isHandmade crochet pieces, made by Elisa: little charms, keychains and clips. Each one is made individually and is yours outright once bought.
Your right to cancelPhysical pieces come with the usual 14 days to cancel after delivery, for any reason, unless a piece was custom-made to your request. How it works
Handle with careThese are delicate, hand-stitched pieces, not machine-made. Charms and clips can loosen at the stitching if they're pulled or tugged, so please handle them gently. That's the nature of handmade crochet, not a fault, and normal wear over time isn't a fault either. If a piece arrives damaged or faulty, you're fully covered.
ShippingUK only for now, sent by Royal Mail. A flat shipping charge is shown before you pay, and orders of £20 or more ship free. The price doesn't depend on where in the UK you are.
Common questions.
Quick answers to common questions. Each one links to the full rule above.
How do I get my photo after I pay?
We email you your own download link right after payment. It's a link rather than an attachment, so file size doesn't matter. Download and save your files and certificate straight away: the link works for 30 days. Nothing after a few minutes? Check your spam folder first, then get in touch. The download rules
What files do I get?
A full-resolution 8K JPEG (the finished photo, no watermark), a print-ready PDF of it, the unedited RAW camera file, and your Certificate of Authenticity, your proof of purchase. What you get
How long do I have to download?
30 days from purchase, up to 20 downloads. If you haven't downloaded yet, we'll remind you with 15, 7 and 3 days left. If the link expires, nothing is lost: email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with your name and order number and we'll help. The download rules
My download email never arrived. What do I do?
Check your spam folder first. Still nothing? Email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with your order reference: it's shown on screen after payment (it starts with cs_), and your order number is in your order email. We'll look it up and get your files to you.
Can I print it for myself?
Yes. Printing and displaying it for yourself is exactly what your licence covers. Reselling, sharing the files or commercial use isn't included, because copyright always stays with the artist. What you can do with it
Can I use a photo for my business?
Yes, with a commercial licence. Email alex98.zrn@gmail.com with what you have in mind and we'll quote a price. It depends on the use: a small business's own website costs far less than a national campaign.
What's the difference between Open, Limited and Free?
Open: anyone can buy it, any number of times. Limited: one of one, sold once and then retired, and you own that piece. Free: no charge, comes with a small watermark, and we ask you to credit us if you use it publicly. Two editions
How do free photos work?
Press Get it free, read and agree to the free-use terms, pass a quick human check, and enter your email. We send you a link to the photo straight away; it works for 7 days. Your email is only used for that. Free photos and your data
Is it safe to pay here?
Yes. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your card details.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Not for a change of mind once your download link is sent: you agree to that before paying. But if a file is faulty or not the photo you paid for, you're always covered: we'll replace it or refund you. Returns and refunds
Do you sell physical prints?
Not yet. Everything is a digital download for now. This page will be updated when prints are available.
What do you do with my data?
As little as possible. We never sell it, never use it for marketing, and don't track you. The full details, and what you'd get back if you asked, are in Privacy. Privacy
